Terms and Conditions
By booking a driving lesson with us, you agree to these terms. They are here to keep everything running smoothly for both you and your instructor.
1. Your Licence & Eyesight
Before you can start driving, you must meet the legal requirements:
Valid Licence: You must hold a valid UK Provisional Driving Licence. Please bring it to your first lesson so we can check it.
Eyesight: You must be able to read a car number plate from 20.5 meters away. If you need glasses or contacts to do this, you must wear them for every lesson.
2. Cancellations (The 24-Hour Rule)
We need a bit of notice if you can't make it.
24 Hours Notice: If you need to cancel or move a lesson, please tell us at least 24 hours in advance.
Late Cancellations: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you will be charged the full price of the lesson.
Frequent Cancellations: If you cancel or move lessons more than 3 times without a good reason, we may have to offer your regular slot to another student.
3. Payments
Bank Transfer: Please pay 48 hours before your lesson.
Cash: If agreed, you can pay cash at the start of the lesson.
Block Bookings: These must be paid in full before the first lesson of the block starts.
4. Punctuality & Attendance
If You Are Late: We will wait for 15 minutes. If you haven't arrived or contacted us by then, the lesson will be cancelled and charged in full. If you arrive late, the lesson will still finish at the scheduled time.
If We Are Late: We will contact you immediately. We will either add the missed time to the end of your lesson or make it up next time.
5. The Driving Test
Booking a Test: Please check with your instructor before booking a test date. We need to make sure the car is available.
Using the Car: Using the school car for your test is not guaranteed. If your instructor feels you are not safe or ready, they can refuse to let you use the car for the test.
Retakes: If you sadly fail a driving test, we require you to complete at least 4 hours of additional training before booking another attempt. This is to fix the issues that caused the failure.
6. Refunds
Block Bookings: If you decide to stop lessons part-way through a prepaid block, we will refund you. However, the hours you have already used will be charged at the standard hourly rate (not the discounted block rate), and an admin fee may apply.
7. Safety & Behaviour
Fit to Drive: You must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that causes drowsiness. If you are, the lesson will be stopped and you will be charged.
Conduct: We expect a respectful environment. Any abuse toward the instructor will result in lessons stopping immediately.
Phones: Please keep mobile phones away/silent during the lesson.
8. Your Data
We respect your privacy. We only use your personal details to manage your lessons and book tests. We will never share your info with anyone else without asking you first.
